☀️ Today’s Weather

Monday is giving us a little bit of everything. Expect mostly cloudy skies with some lake effect snow showers in the morning, then a new area of low pressure rolls in to bring scattered rain/snow showers through the afternoon and into the evening. It'll be cold and breezy with a high of only 42 and wind chills dipping into the 30s, so if you're heading out to the NCAA championship watch party tonight at Meier's Creek Brewing at Inner Harbor, throw on a jacket before you go.

🗞️ Top Stories

1. Boom in Geddes: Building Partially Collapses After Reported Explosion Neighbors described hearing a loud boom Sunday before a building in Geddes partially collapsed. Firefighters are investigating, with early indications pointing to water buildup as a possible cause of the roof collapse, though the incident was also initially reported as an explosion. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, but the investigation is ongoing and residents nearby got quite the scare.

2. G-Mac Is Building His Bench — Ben Lee Is Coming to 'Cuse Gerry McNamara wasted zero time getting to work on Easter Sunday. The newly minted Syracuse head coach is reportedly bringing 29-year-old Ben Lee, his top assistant from Siena, over to the Hill. Lee is widely considered a rising star in college hoops, and the duo already knows how to work together after helping Siena pull off one of the most jaw-dropping NCAA Tournament performances in recent memory. The Orange rebuild is officially underway.

3. SU Women's Lacrosse Still on a Tear No. 4 Syracuse women's lacrosse knocked off No. 17 Duke to extend their winning streak to eleven straight games. The Orange are rolling right now, and with a matchup against Virginia on the horizon April 11 (more on that below), there's plenty of momentum to keep an eye on. On the flip side, the No. 3 men's team dropped a tough one to No. 2 North Carolina, snapping a six-game win streak, so it's a mixed bag on the lacrosse front this weekend.
