☀️ Today’s Weather
Friday is going to feel more like early April than mid-May, so keep a jacket handy. Expect a mix of clouds and some sunshine in the morning with maybe a stray shower, but the better chance of rain comes later in the afternoon and evening when skies turn mostly cloudy and scattered showers move in. Winds will be breezy out of the west at times, gusting to around 20 mph, with a high only near 57 and a low dropping to 43 overnight.

1. Lysander Pumps the Brakes on Data Centers The Lysander Town Board voted to approve a six-month moratorium on new data center construction Wednesday night, and the community showed up in force to make sure it happened. More than 350 residents turned out for the meeting, but only 150 could squeeze into town hall as neighbors rallied against a proposed multibillion-dollar facility. The pause gives the town time to study the impacts before any development moves forward, and it is a pretty clear signal about how residents feel.
2. No Charges in Baldwinsville Hit-and-Run Death It is a difficult conclusion to a heartbreaking case. State Police announced Wednesday that no charges will be filed against the driver who struck and killed 53-year-old Tammy Langford-Michels on Downer Street near Baldwinsville back on December 7th. Investigators determined that Langford-Michels had already collapsed in the roadway before she was struck, which changed the picture for prosecutors. The case is now closed, though it is unlikely to feel that way for her family.
3. Syracuse Police Searching for Murder Suspect Syracuse Police are asking for the public's help tracking down 23-year-old Lykee "Bino" Gibson, who is wanted for murder. Gibson is described as a Black male, 5'10", 215 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. If you have seen him or know his whereabouts, contact Syracuse Police immediately.
